Joy is a powerful emotion. When we feel it, we feel great! And the good news is, we can experience many small moments of joy every single day, if we just make a tiny effort to seek it out.

Here are 30 of our favourite ways:

1. Name three things your thankful for
2. Make someone you love (or just yourself!) your favourite breakfast
3. Stop and smell a flower
4. Laugh at something silly
5. Take a walk around the block
6. Make a cup of your favourite tea
7. Pay for a stranger’s cup of coffee
8. Spend time in nature (it can just be the park across the road from work)
9. Take the biggest breath in you’ve taken all day, then release it as slowly as you can
10. Say no to something that’s been causing you stress
11. Help someone with their shopping bags
12. Change your bedsheets (for the delayed joy of getting into fresh sheets)
