Vegan Sweetened Condensed Milk (99% Sugar-Free)

Using our Lakanto Golden Malt Syrup to make it Responsibly Sweet, this Vegan Sweetened Condensed Milk recipe is also keto and gluten free.

Makes: 4 cups

Ingredients:
1 cup of your milk of choice (almond, oat milk etc.)
1 cup vegan cream (we suggest Loco)
¾ cup Lakanto Golden Malt Syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-3 tbsp corn flour (depending on how thick you want the end condensed milk to be)

Method:
1. Whisk together milk cream and syrup in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. 
2. Whisking often, bring to a low simmer. Continue to simmer, whisking often, until milk has reduced approx. by half, about 30 minutes. Dilute the cornflour in 2 tbsp water then add to the milk and stir for another 5 minutes until it thickens. 
3. Once reduced, remove from heat and stir in vanilla and allow to cool over night.
