Strawberry Aqua Fresca - FODMAP Friendly Accredited

Aqua Frescas are light non-alcoholic drinks made from fruit blended with water and sugar - plus this recipe has been accredited as FODMAP Friendly. We've blended it with sugar-free Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener for a no-sugar, FODMAP Friendly refreshing drink. 
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: Chill up to 4 hours 
Makes: 1.5 litres

Ingredients

Method

  1. Mix sliced strawberries, sugar and 1 cup of water together in a medium bowl. Cover and leave in the fridge for 4 hours.
  2. Pour the strawberry mixture into a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  3. Strain through a wire mesh strainer over a jug or bowl.
  4. Add the remaining water and stir to combine.
  5. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve or serve immediately over ice.
  6. Garnish with lime wheels and mint.

Tips for making alcohol free cocktails at home: If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, use a mason jar or drink bottle – anything with a tight lid will work! If you don’t have a muddler, use the back of a wooden spoon or similar.
